Terms of Service
Last updated: 20 October 2026
About these terms
These terms apply to your use of the Wishery website (wishery.io) and the Wishery app (app.wishery.io), together "Wishery" or "the service". By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Wishery.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.
Who can use Wishery
You must be at least 13 years old to use Wishery. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account. Please give accurate information when you sign up, and tell us at hello@wishery.io if you think someone else has accessed your account.
Your content
You own the wishlists, items and other content you add to Wishery. You give us permission to store, copy and display that content only as needed to run the service, including showing it to the people you share it with according to your visibility settings.
You are responsible for what you post. Please only add content you have the right to share.
Acceptable use
When using Wishery, you agree not to:
- Break the law, or post content that is illegal, abusive, hateful or infringes anyone's rights.
- Harass, impersonate or mislead other users.
- Use the service to send spam or distribute malware.
- Try to access accounts or data that are not yours, or interfere with or overload the service.
- Scrape or copy the service by automated means without our permission.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Sharing and reservations
Wishery is designed so that a list's owner cannot see which items have been reserved, to keep gifts a surprise. We work hard to keep that true, but we cannot guarantee it. For example, someone with access to a list could tell its owner. A reservation is not a purchase or a binding promise.
Products, prices and purchases
Wishery does not sell products. Product names, images, prices and availability come from third-party retailer websites and may be wrong or out of date. Any purchase you make is between you and the retailer, under the retailer's terms.
Some links on Wishery are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission when you buy through them at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, Wishery earns from qualifying purchases.
Changes to the service
Wishery is currently free to use. We are continually improving it, and we may add, change or remove features. We may introduce optional paid features in future; if we do, we will tell you the price and terms before you are charged anything.
Ending your use of Wishery
You can stop using Wishery at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@wishery.io. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Where reasonable, we will tell you first.
Our responsibility to you
We provide Wishery "as is" and do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any indirect losses, or for loss of data, profit or opportunity, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. If you keep using Wishery after the changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in the courts where you live.
